The health & well-being of every person that comes through our doors is our top priority.

While our clinic has started a gradual reopening for massage therapy appointments, we are not yet resuming Yoga/Pilates classes. 

 We love our cozy & intimate yoga space & all that our environment has to offer, but the smaller size does make social distancing measures extremely challenging, if not impossible, to maintain. Once again, maintaining everyone's safety is of utmost concern, and we would rather act with too much caution, than not enough.

Yoga with Balance!

Bringing in another aspect of health & wellness, Balance is proud to offer yoga classes to students of all levels.

We limit our class sizes in order to ensure the best possible experience for each and every student who walks through our doors - it's one of the things that makes us unique.

Types of Classes:

Yin/Yang - Unwind

Our Unwind class is a blended class, beginning with all-levels Hatha yoga, & finishing with slower-paced yin poses.


Hatcha Yoga combines all the numerous benefits of yoga, from physical (like increased strength, stability, and flexibility), to mental (increased sense of relaxation, calm, and mental clarity, among many others), & so many more. Yin yoga poses are held for a longer period of time, allowing a more complete release.


This class is well suited for beginners, & anyone looking to help manage stress, or simply relax & unwind at the end of the day.


Mondays 7pm & 8:15pm (Theresa/Caroline)

Gentle Yoga

New to yoga? Feeling intimidated by the idea of trying something new? Have particular challenges that may limit you, or just want a refresher on the essentials?


Gentle Yoga classes are designed to break down each movement, and ensure we're starting from a stable and functional base. Classes are designed to teach the basics of Hatha-style yoga - creating a strong, safe foundation to explore your practice from, and always incorporating soothing, calming movements to relax the body & mind.


Created to be accessible and achievable for all students, regardless of abilities or experience.


Mondays 9am & Tuesdays 9am (Jessica)

Hatha Flow

Our Hatha Flow class is similar to the Hatha portion of our Unwind class, but often done at a faster-pace, designed to be a bit more of a "workout". Increased strength, function, and flexibility are just a few of the many benefits you can expect to receive from this class.


Caroline & Tanya each bring their own unique background/ experiences to this class, often making it a fun fusion between several different styles of classes - all designed to challenge students of all levels.

Registered Yoga Teacher

Owner/ Manager, Balance Massage Therapy & Wellness

A long-time lover of yoga, Jessica completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 so she could share her passion with others through teaching.


Combining years of experience in the massage therapy world with new knowledge and perspective on movement and awareness, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge about how the body works to each class, providing a clear path to increased strength, stability, and flexibility - all while creating a safe place to allow the mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga to occur.   


Classes with Jessica:

  • Monday: 9am Gentle Yoga *
  • Tuesday: 9am Gentle Yoga

*Alternating weeks.


Registered Yoga Teacher

Theresa discovered yoga 10 years ago and completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016.


She has also completed training in Yin/Restorative, Reiki and self massage using therapy balls.


Theresa enjoys the complete mind & body connection provided by yoga practice. Working in the scientific & health research industry, she can see the health benefits yoga can provide when integrated into one’s lifestyle.


There is so much more to yoga than the poses and bringing a little bit of this to each class is a great way to introduce all the limbs of yoga.

Registered Yoga Teacher | Pilates Teacher

Caroline is an Energetic mother of 3, and a dedicated Physio/Occupational Therapy Assistant working with a clientele of Military background.


She joins our Team with a tool box of experience, ranging from Hatha, Yin/Restorative and Hot Yoga; Pilates Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels; Reiki Level 1 & 2; Kickboxing; Twist Conditioning; Functional Movement; Bosu Ball & many other Mind & Body connection attributes. She also has her Personal Trainer Certification for Pilates.


She believes that the Essence & Purpose of Yoga is very Personal - To be at Peace with your True Self & to Positively face Personal Limitations.

Registered Yoga Teacher 

In 2002, Tanya began doing yoga in various gyms. Since 2006, she started doing various forms of yoga on a regular basis, such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, & Restorative.


Tanya's ambiition and desire to learn led her to embark on the journey of becoming a yoga instructor. Tanya has completed the following certifications:


• Iyengar Based Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (2009-2011)

• Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training


Tanya continues to attend various yoga conferences, workshops, & courses to improve her skills.


Tanya is passionate about stretching, increasing flexibility, and building strength & endurance. Tanya's classes will guide you with alignment & breathing, while staying focused on being calm & relaxed.

Registered Yoga Teacher | Pilates Teacher

Janik was first introduced to yoga about 10 years ago. Initially, she struggled with it because she couldn't tolerate being with herself in silence for very long. However, she persevered and continued to practice yoga on and off for a few years. Janik became more consistent with her practice over time and was finally able to discover the real power of yoga.


Her love of yoga started growing from that moment on as she realized that yoga was so much more than just a physical practice. It's a practice of quieting the mind, which ultimately brings inner peace, healing, transformation, growth and much deserved happiness.


In January 2017, Janik took the leap and enrolled in a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training as she thrived in following her journey to a better way of life - one where there is less stress & anxiety and more inner bliss & mindfulness. As she followed this path, she quickly found a deep love to teach others.


Janik truly believes that yoga can change lives and therefore wants to help other people live a healthier and more balanced life.
